After 4 or 5 years of fun, Brighton's 4 or 5 Magicians called time in 2010 on a stint bothering the music industry which included plenty of airplay and multiple Single of the Week awards on various BBC Radio 1, Radio 2 and 6 Music shows; a Radio 1 Peel Session at Maida Vale studios; a critically acclaimed album on the Smalltown America label (Jetplane Landing; And So I Watch You From Afar; Fighting With Wire); nods, among many others, from the NME ("potentially the best young songwriter in the UK") and Rocksound ("pop genius") for frontman Dan Ormsby; and a somewhat bizarre article in an Irish newspaper where Dan beat Shirley Bassey 7-3 in a head to head, in addition to the band claiming Album of the Month ahead of the Dame herself and The Best Of The Libertines.
Along the way they were dubbed "The British Pavement" in an NME live review; compared favourably by the press with other 90s indie rock heroes like Pixies, Guided By Voices and Dinosaur Jr, as well as garnering lyrical comparisons to the Arctic Monkeys, The Streets and Pulp; and played with some excellent bands you haven't heard of, plus a fair few you might have, like Supergrass, The Clean, Japandroids, The Thermals, Los Campesinos, Yeasayer and the man, the legend, Lethal Bizzle.
15 years on from their one and only full length album release 'Empty, Derivative, Pop Songs', the band are back with a weekend of live shows, playing all the classics you vaguely remember with the cream of 15 years worth of "new" material to boot, with recording and (possibly) further shows planned for later in the year.

Hailing from South-East London, blistering 3-piece indie punk assault William tore up stages all over the UK in the second half of the 00's, releasing their brilliant full length debut Self In Fiction in 2008 on Tough Love Records (Toy; Ulrika Spacek; The Stroppies). With a sound recalling the gleeful bounce and pounding intensity of early Idlewild and a hint of mid 90s Placebo, in addition to a definite American twinge reminiscent of The Promise Ring and Superchunk, William are back with some exciting new material alongside their superb late '00s tunes.

South London's finest hard-pop group Pleasure Complex will be joining the fun. Slick, upbeat tunes recalling Talking Heads and Roxy Music with a modern twist.
