Since 2008 Amber States have graced main stages, supported legends, and played to handfuls of pissheads. Too busy enjoying the rock and roll lifestyle, Amber States forgot to record a full album putting out three EPs and a few singles instead. Thankfully, this oversight has been corrected with the 2024 release of the long-player El Real, their first new music in a decade.

Their new music is a faithful hound to their trademark sound, which has developed to become a bittersweet blend of euphoria and melancholia; a magnetic mix of the acoustic and the electric. Amber States have mixed it with the best over the years, enjoying radio play on BBC 6 Music and Radio X, and sharing the bill with luminaries such as White Denim, The Staves, Lianne La Havas, Alt-J (etc.).
