Marble Sun and Million Square Live

  • Peckham Audio Rye Lane London, England, SE15 United Kingdom (map)

Two live electronic duos take over Peckham Audio for a night exploring the crossroads of jazz and electronica, where acoustic and electronic instruments collide.

Drawing on their shared background as jazz musicians, Marble Sun are the latest in a growing scene of British electronic artists bringing organic elements into their sound – blending expansive electronic soundscapes & infectious dance rhythms (Floating Points, Overmono, Jon Hopkins) with raw, intimate vocals (London Grammar, Lianne La Havas, Sade)

The Million Square pair of Max Luthert (electronics) and Duncan Eagles (tenor sax) have collectively performed with the likes of Shabaka Hutchings, Nubya Garcia and Moses Boyd.Taking influence from Autechre, Craig Taborn, Richard Devine, Marcus Strickland, Logan Richardson and John Coltrane, they bridge the worlds of electronica and contemporary improvised music with analogue, digital and acoustic instruments, and the result is a unique and futuristic output.
