Croí na Gaeilge Presents: A Night for Pieta & icap

"Solas" means "light" in Irish, symbolizing hope and light out of the dark.

Join Croí na Gaeilge and the Darkness Into Light London committee for a night of music, spoken word, and community in support of Pieta House and icap ahead of the Darkness into Light 2025 walk.

Pieta is an Irish charity providing free, lifesaving support to people affected by suicide, self-harm, and suicidal ideation. Pieta offers 24/7 crisis intervention, therapy, and bereavement support across Ireland. Their Darkness into Light walk (May 10th at 4:15 a.m) is a global movement of hope and solidarity.

icap (Immigrant Counselling and Psychotherapy) is a UK-based charity providing specialist mental health support mainly for the Irish community in Britain. icap offers free and low-cost counselling and psychotherapy to people facing issues such as depression, anxiety, trauma, and the challenges of migration.

In this spirit, Croí na Gaeilge is bringing together Irish voices in London to fundraise for these charities and to promote mental health support & awareness. As with all Croí na Gaeilge events, Gaeilge is at the heart of the night - speaking as Gaeilge is encouraged, and all levels are welcomed.

On the night, there will be:

Spoken word with Deptford Doggerels @deptforddoggerels – Raw and resonant spoken-word performances.Performances from Veen, Hannahbella, Gaff and Alex Gough.

Music lineup curated by Fiachra O'Mahony & spoken word curated by Deptford Doggerels.
