Teddy Good x Stay Ugly present: SHEIVA

  • Peckham Audio Rye Lane London, England, SE15 United Kingdom (map)

Teddy Good and Stay Ugly join forces to bring us together for a UK Underground event like no other. On 24th November, London's Sheiva will be at Peckham Audio for a headline performance. This one of a kind event brings together acts from all corners of the alternative space, with Manchester's Motto Estate and London-based artists, Teddy Trillion and Jesi.

SHEIVA (Headliner):

Unrestrained, genre-defying and unapologetic, SHEIVA’s music is a culmination of the themes of nonconformity that they encompass in every aspect of their life. Drawing upon their experience as a queer Iranian, born and bred in South-East London, SHEIVA’s music boasts livid lyricism paired with rule-breaking musical stylings, and through ineffaceable live performances and radio appearances, has quickly cemented their spot as a central figure of London’s underground music scene. With a unique way of converting feelings of rage and exasperation at the world around them into a palpable witty and playful experience for their audience, SHEIVA’s live show is a ferocious trip to a multiverse that you’ll never want to leave. Their ever-growing live set is one that will undoubtedly electrify festival stages and underground venues alike. A self-described ‘music magpie’, SHEIVA’s musical inspirations span everything from the traditional Iranian sounds they took from their summers at their family home, to pop music they would swap and share with their friends in school. In both their life and creative practice, they defy boundaries and definitions.

STAY UGLY:

STAY UGLY is a UK based collective who aren't afraid to go against the grain, and unapologetically be themselves. Founded in 2022 by FLUX ROSE, KID NAMED GOOSE and Ssadcharlie, the collective's sound is inspired by the diverse range of music that surrounded each member growing up in London and Bristol. Be it SPIKEMYHEART's Alt-Pop infused vocal prowess, AVRA's poetic lyrical ability, DOSHUS's catchy R&B reminiscent hooks, or Ssadcharlie's experimental Grime and Trap influenced delivery, STAY UGLY's blend of unique personalities allows their music to appeal to almost anyone. Paired with relatable visuals shot by JCK and the collective's manager, Luke Miller.
