For WET’s 11th edition, we’re bringing in two of our favourite London based artists whose approach to club music is sharp, unpredictable, and always full of momentum. Expect heavy bass, percussive intensity, and sounds that move fluidly between dancehall, jungle, gqom, doomcore, footwork, and raw system-driven energy.
ALO3 produces heavy ambient sonics rooted in Jamaican Maroon rhythms, drums, and all things noise, combined with industrial northern doomcore and soundsystem bass mentality as a vehicle for cathartic release. They guide us through spirals towards joy, exploring the experimental emotional depths while evoking jester-hearted nostalgia. As a resident DJ at Foundation FM and Pound and Yam, they illuminate the hidden corners of East and South London’s underground venues, crafting genre-bending sounds that echo the pulse of the global majority.
KUNTEAA is an east-London born DJ with Jamaican and St Vincentian roots known for their genre-fluid selections. Over the last 3 years, they have developed a style mixing together sounds that span the globe; from Rap, Jungle, Bass, Ballroom, House, Techno, GQOM, Footwork, Dancehall and everything in between, their club selections tend to link the diaspora sonically always tracing the roots of Black and queer club culture.
